Chartwell & Maritime History in Kent
15th - 19th July

Our first day out will be to the Historic Dockyard, Chatham, where we will discover 400 years of maritime history. The exhibits stretch over 80 acres, including three warships, interactive galleries and RNLI lifeboats. We will also have a Victorian ropery tour, with a live demonstration.

We will also have a full day to Greenwich, with The Royal Observatory, The Old Naval College and The Cutty Sark, where we have a History of Tea guided tour, followed by a cream tea.

Our final excursion is to Chartwell, home to Sir Winston Churchill. Enjoy seeing the house as it was in the 1930's, including Churchill's paintings, treasures and the beautiful gardens created by the family.

We then continue to Biggin Hill Memorial Museum, created to remember all those who lost their lives flying from Biggin Hill, the most important airfield of The Battle Of Britain, during WW2. Hear the stories of the people who served here and the community who supported them.
